Airbus Selects Phoenix Integration to Streamline Design Process
Phoenix Integration announced that it has secured a major order for software and services to improve the engineering process within Airbus, one of the two largest airliner manufacturers in the world. The initial phase of the project will allow Airbus to further integrate design operations in four main design centers located in the UK, France, Spain, and Germany.
"We're proud to have been chosen by Airbus to provide the architecture for their engineering design improvement system. We look forward to working closely with Airbus to deploy our tools and services to bring simplicity and power to their process," stated Dr. Brett Malone, President of Phoenix Integration.
The order includes CenterLinkT, Phoenix Integration's newest product to support enterprise wide design integration. Airbus will deploy the software in an effort to provide collaborative data management and to speed computations for complex design studies for the A380 and A350. Phoenix will be assisting in the development of custom modules for the integration of the system into the aerospace giant's infrastructure.
Over 200 engineers within Airbus will utilize the new system to speed design work using integrated applications with a structured process. Phoenix Integration's ModelCenter software will form the backbone for application integration while CenterLink will ensure the scalability for the deployment to end users across Europe.
Phoenix Integration, Inc., located in Blacksburg, Va., this year celebrates its 10th anniversary as a leader in providing flexible, scaleable, high-performance enterprise solutions for process integration and design optimization to global customers, including nine of the top ten U.S. defense contractors and five of the top ten aerospace companies.
