CIMTEK Appoints New CEO
CIMTEK, a leader in accelerating time to market through innovative test and design of electronic products, announced the appointment of Stan Smith to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer.
Stan has an extensive background in Product Lifecycle Management and related areas of manufacturing automation, most recently serving as President and CEO of Open Ratings, a provider of Supplier Performance Management services. Prior to that, he was VP of Worldwide Field Operations with Agile Systems, where he managed sales, business development, implementations and professional services. Before moving to Agile, Stan oversaw Matrix One's sales operations as VP Sales for North America. He earned his BA in Economics from Dartmouth College.

"The board conducted an extensive search to identify and recruit an individual who has the experience and energy to drive CIMTEK through the next phase of growth. Stan is that individual."
As President and CEO, Stan will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company and for driving global operations to continue to expand and deliver increasing levels of value and satisfaction to CIMTEK's growing customer base.

Stan is replacing outgoing President and CEO Ted Pattenden, who retired at the end of August. Smith will be based out of the company's North American headquarters in Burlington, Ontario.
