INCAT Worldwide Work Force Grows By 34 Percent In 2005

INCAT International plc announced that its international work force grew by about 34 percent in its fiscal year 2005, which closed on August 31.

INCAT began its fiscal year 2005, in September 2004, with 615 full-time employees worldwide. At the end of August 2005, that number had grown to 825. Some of that increase was a result of merger and acquisition activity. In May, 29 employees were added in France when INCAT acquired the clients and certain assets from the administrators of Rand France S.A., formerly a part of Rand Worldwide. With the June 2005 acquisition of Denver-based Cadpo, a training and consulting services provider, the INCAT work force grew by another 58 employees. The majority of the increase however, 123 positions, came as a result of expansion of business and the company's continuing growth as a professional services provider.

Leading the way in growth for 2005 was the INCAT UK operation, where the work force grew by 90 percent. In North America, the INCAT work force grew by 11 percent. About 68 percent of the total INCAT work force is located in North America.

"At a time when companies are making headlines by cutting employees and shrinking their operations, we are proud to go against that trend," said INCAT CEO Ulrich Herter.

Herter expects this growth to continue following the acquisition of INCAT by Tata Technologies Inc. Tata formally announced, on September 2, that it will purchase all issued and to be issued share capital of INCAT.

"I estimate that today we have about 100 job openings worldwide for which we are seeking qualified candidates," Herter said. "I anticipate that we will utilize the resources of Tata Technologies to help us fill these positions as soon as possible."
